The Great Book of Nature - Episode - THE HARE
Episode Summary:
In the first part of the episode, a hare allows itself to become
involved in too many activities at the same time and, as a result, never
manages to complete any of them successfully. As time passes, it leaves
farming to take up fishing, and then turns to bicycle racing, convinced
that it will win. Finally, it realizes that doing so many things at the
same time is counterproductive, and it then concentrates only on
growing sunflowers. In the second part, a rabbit and a cat compete in an
automobile race. Since the rabbit is convinced it is the greatest
driver of all time, it neglects to make a note of changes that were made
to the course, thus ending up in the sea, having failed to make the
turn where it had been indicated. Concerned about the rabbit’s
disappearance, the organizers of the race broadcast the news, and set
out to look for it. The creatures of the sea hear the appeal, come to
the rabbit’s rescue, and make sure it returns to its friends on dry
land.
