The Great Book of Nature - Episode - THE GRIZZLY
Episode Summary:
In the first part of the episode, a bear is very proud of his cucumber
plants, and when he sees a swarm of bees trying “to attack” the flowers,
he protects them with a net. Soon afterwards, the buds dry up and drop
off. When the hare finds out what his friend the bear has done, he has a
good laugh and explains that by transferring pollen from the female
plants to the male plants, that the bees make the flowers turn into
fruit. The bear learns an important lesson: it’s always better to trust a
friend! In the second part, a group of frogs train to develop their
agility so that they can more easily escape from two feared predators:
the crow and the jackfish. However, one of the frogs prefers to spend
its time in a hammock it has slung between the branches and, in the end,
it is caught by the jackfish. Fortunately, the other members of the
group come to the rescue. The moral of the story is that by not paying
attention to the important things in life, one risks dire consequences!
