The Great Book of Nature - Episode - THE SQUIRREL
Episode Summary:
Several friends, including a squirrel, help a bear that produces honey
to gather nectar-bearing flowers. Unfortunately, a crafty fox plans to
steal the season’s honey, and gets the bear’s confidence by pretending
to be friend, even helping him get over a nasty bout of flu, while
professing to have no interest in the honey. He advises the trusting
bear to put a sign on his hives so that everyone will know they belong
to him, and stay away from them. Actually, this is the fox’s way of
finding out where the hives are, prior to stealing all the honey in
them. And so the bear that has not listened to his friends’ warnings
about the fox, ends up with no honey at all. Even so, he refuses to
believe that the fox is guilty until he sees it being attacked by the
bees.
