The Great Book of Nature - Episode - THE RACCOON
Episode Summary:
The bear tells a story about a raccoon. A raccoon, being kind and
generous by nature, comes to the aid of a wolf that begs him to remove a
fish bone from its throat. Since the wolf is so insistent, the raccoon
kindly lends a hand, but as soon as the wolf is free of its bone, it
that demands that the raccoon hand over the fish he is taking home for
his family. A no holds barred fight ensues, and the raccoon wins. In the
second part of the episode, another wolf has caught a dog, a badger, a
squirrel and a pig and plans to eat them one by one. Finally, after the
ingenious dog makes a periscope, the four captives free themselves. They
then end up in a stadium where a boxing match is in progress. Thanks to
the periscope, the gang manages to watch the match without entering the
stadium. The moral of the story is that it’s right to be generous and
help others, but not at the expense of one’s own safety.
