The Great Book of Nature - Episode - THE HEDGEHOG

Episode Summary:

The bear tells the assembled animals a story about hedgehogs. The inhabitants of the forest hold a contest to decide who is the strongest of them all. The bear and the warthog fight it out, but, at the height of the proceedings, the tiger arrives and sanctimoniously demands that the others step aside, as he is the strongest, and has no need to demonstrate his superiority. The tiger awards himself the winners gold medal and orders all the animals to go home if they want to stay out of trouble. The animals are afraid of the tiger and do as he says, except for the hedgehog, which, in a moment of heroism, challenges the tiger, determined to teach him a lesson. Thanks to his sharp quills, the little hedgehog manages to beat his presumptuous opponent, who retreats howling about the pain incurred from the quill pricks! The moral is: presumptuous braggarts should mind themselves because one day someone will teach them a well-deserved lesson!
